Shaw Farm
News
Well, I
guess its time to start getting out the
Shaw Farm news as we originally planned
early this year
Once we got
ourselves past our big celebration back
in June, it was one crop after another,
and I just never got to focus on the
task of sharing news of the farm with
all of you. But thanks to the many folks
who have signed up for this.
From an
agricultural perspective, this was a
most successful year as we were able to
produce many tons of high valued forage
crops for our herd. For the non farmer,
this might not sound like a big deal,
but high quality grass and corn crops
are what make the cows do their thing.
The big
news going into the winter is that we
are still going forward with our
building project and it looks like the
earliest we can break ground will be
March. This project will provide us with
what will be the newest and most modern
bottling facility in
New England.
The second
part of this new building will be a new
farm retail store where our current
dairy products will be offered as well
as a mini bakery and plenty of space for
local farm produce.
Any thoughts
you might have on products you would
like us to offer would be greatly
appreciate.
Oh, and yes,
we will have the famous donut robot that
makes fresh cider donuts as you watch.
Holidays are
just about here and we have begun
producing our very popular egg nog . it
will be available through January.
We also have
our holiday ice cream flavors out,
pumpkin, peppermint stick,
Berry Berry, kahlua, Egg nog
and more.
Thanks for
being patient, and an happy holidays to
all of you!
