A family owned and operated apple orchard in Harvard, Ma Carlson’s has been selling us cider for years! With the addition of our new store it was time to sell more of these fresh, local products! George Bass’s love for chickens started at age ten when his mother bought him 24 hens and he joined his local 4-H club. After many years of working with chickens he is one of the best in the business, maintaining an enormous flock of free range organic chickens in Hubbardston since 1988. Ben Fisk’s passion for maple syrup came at age 5 after taking a field trip one day at school, upon getting home that night he shared the experience with his father and that year they tapped 15 trees. Lifelong dairy farmer Dave Smith purchased Otter River Farm at age 25 and never looked back. After milking cows for many years Dave realized a passion for sharing his farm fresh milk with the world! He started making cheese and many years later it can be found all down the east coast. They milk 200 cows on site and the milk is generally turned into cheese in less than 2 days after milking. Smith Country Cheese is located just 1 hour west of Shaw Farm and is the freshest cheese on the market. We carry their spreads, gouda cheeses, and cheddar cheeses to be purchased at our store or delivered home delivery!
